How to teach and study formal logic in the case of people without an advanced mathematical knowledge? This book tries to give an answer. The material is standard: I. Propositional calculus; II. Some metalogic; III. Predicate Logic; IV. Set theory; Semantics of predicate logic. The book has many exercises; Part V contains answers to all exercises. The text is quite formal, but with many informal comments. It seems that the book is accessible to intended readers, but the practice will give an answer to the main question.
